What pens do you use with the Colour Coded Language resources?

Over the years, we have used a variety of pens. However, the ones yoohoo therapists tend to use are the Show-me Slim Drywipe Pens - Medium Tip. The pack of 10 assorted are great as they contain all the colour coded language colours. You will find there is a brown within this pack. As colour coded language does not use a brown, yoohoo therapists tend to use it to support punctuation. How you use the brown is entirely up to you. Yoohoo Ltd has no affiliation with the company Show-me or the sites which sell the pens.

Why have the dudes not got facial features?

The dudes were trialled with a number of young children with a variety of speech, language and communication challenges. When the dudes had features the children related to them personally. Initially this was encouraging. However, some children began to assign likes and dislikes to dudes. Some started to give the dudes ‘names which distracted them from the dudes’ actual job. By simply removing the features the students did not personify the dudes. The dudes enhanced the colour code. Their positioning and colour supporting the language form.
